I went for lunch here on a Thursday. I arrived soon after opening at 12. I had a two course set lunch with orange juice and a glass of Israeli wine. All for &pound;20.85. Very good value for money. Falafel was delicious. As was the main course of chicken kebab with rice and salad. It is located about 10 minutes from Edgware Station. Photos included. Recommended.

What on earth has happened to this once bustling restaurant which was deserted with only one other couple seated when we visited for lunch. No real need to ask as the service was abysmal. The only waiter to be seen was more interested in what he was doing a the bar and it took a definite effort to get him to take our order. The only available food was the 2 or 3 course set lunch - nothing at all from the main menu. Surly is too kind to describe the service - adequate the food. Would we visit again - NO.

Today, 11 May 2016, my 85 year old mother and her friend went to the Aviv for lunch. My mother is amazing, she lives in constant pain from severe back problems and therefore uses either a walker or a &quot;sholley&quot; to aid her walking. On entering the restaurant she was told, not asked, to clean the wheels of the sholley due to the weather conditions. I understand that the restaurant does not want dirty wheels traipsed through, however the man handed my mother a cloth and told her to clean the wheels! She can hardly stand without support and that &quot;very delightful&quot; young man stood by and watched. I am disgusted at this treatment, he should have cleaned the wheels himself, I&#39;m just so sorry that my mother didn&#39;t say something to him there and then, but she didn&#39;t want to cause a scene. Rest assured I will be telling all of my friends about this encounter and we will all be boycotting this restaurant.
